These “terms and
conditions” are to clarify issues such as payment, cancellation of lessons,
time slots and lesson duration etc.
If you do have any queries
please do not hesitate to let me know and we can discuss them.

Payment
for Lessons:
Prices for lessons start from £25.00 per hour. Charges
vary depending on
location
and the distance I have to travel. We can discuss this before your lessons start.
Lessons
will be arranged at
a mutually agreeable time.
Lessons
at present are paid
on the day of the lesson. If more convenient for you we can come to an
arrangement where lessons are paid 4 weeks in advance or by term.
We can
discuss the details
at the start of your tuition.
Lesson
Duration:
Lessons
are usually weekly
unless there is a special request from the student to have lessons fortnightly. I do
recommend one lesson per week.
Lessons
will last one hour.
Cancellation
of Lessons:
I require all students to
give at least 24 hours notice of cancellation of lessons where possible either
by phone or if I am not available by text/email or by leaving a
message.-cancellation of any lesson at short notice (of less than 24 hours)
will result in the student having to pay for that missed lesson.
If
for any reason I have to
cancel a lesson, if possible I will give plenty of notice (at least 24 hours).
The cancelled lesson (if already prepaid) can be made up at a later date/time
mutually agreed.
At
holiday times I would
appreciate as much notice as possible of planned holidays etc,,
Holding
your lesson slot while you are away:
I will always hold your time slot. We can discuss this before you go away.
If you
decide to give up Lessons:
I
would really appreciate
if you decide on leaving the lessons that I be given 2 weeks notice as I can
then check to see if anyone else would like to start lessons. I do have a waiting list and it is only fair that any potential students be contacted well
in advance.
Equipment
needed:
A
guitar (Electric or acoustic)
Each
student should have a
folder to keep all written tabs, music etc, also a CD wallet would be useful.
Throughout the lessons I will be giving students various work CDs to help them
progress.
I
do recommend all students
to invest in a guitar tuner to help with their practice. The student will learn
how to manually tune the guitar but a tuner is a great investment.
